Members also have access to our Bailey slab roller, extruder, and hand-building tables. Basic tools and bats will also be available for member use.
Storage
Members will have their own lockable locker for tools, clay, and anything else you’d like to leave onsite. Members will provide their own lock for their 15” x 18” x 24” locker. Members also get their own personal 18” x 30” shelf for works-in-progress.
Clay, Glaze and Firings
Clay must be purchased through the studio. Prices will be the standard retail price, plus $1 per pound. For example: If a bag of clay costs $12 retail, it will cost $37 from the studio. This fee includes bisque and glaze firings and access to the studio glazes. Recycled studio clay will also be available at a flat rate of $1 per pound, when available.
Events
Ballard Clay will eventually be doing special firings, events, or workshops exclusively for members. Members will also have first access to any visiting artist workshops or other events being held at the studio prior to the general public.
